I've always been self-employed. Each year I would learn, master and get certified in a new modality that I could add to my list of services. And up until this year, when business dried up, I had been able to manifest the income I needed, even though I don't like marketing on social media or self-promotion.

There's a lot that lies beneath the cover of a book. A fellow human. A real life.

Writing is a labor of love. With my process, it's slow and cyclical as I work my way along the spiral path. And with my commitment to embodying the elements it's all consuming and highly disruptive to my personal life.

After finishing the Mountain Earth guide I've been preparing myself to take on the Mother Earth energy. I know what I'm in for. I've done it before and I'm about to do it again. And like the Mother Earth default emotions of love and hate, I too have a love/hate relationship with this personal feng shui element.

Mountain Earth broke me. It broke me, vertebrae by vertebrae, piece by piece. Pulverized my bones to dust, as if they were dry and brittle. To blow away in the wind and find a new place to settle.

This week has been intense! I'm experiencing the high highs and low lows of the many peaks and valleys of Mountain Earth. Not being a physical element myself, it's been interesting to experience awarenesses though messages from my body.

I have been waking up with a song in my heart, stories in my mind and words on my lips. This morning it was the word fastidious. Other days it's eloquent or precision, mercurial or whimsy, touché or facetious.
