Unplanned Childlessness
The Future is Aging Females
If you are here it means a woman gave birth to you.
You are here because a woman chose to make the ultimate sacrifice, her life. She chose to sacrifice her youth and freedom on the altar of marriage and motherhood. She chose to submit her body to the ravages of pregnancy, birth, postpartum and breastfeeding. She chose to spend the best years of her life having and raising you.
You are here because a woman chose to embody love. A man loved a woman. And a woman loved you so much that she brought you into this world. (Instead of sucking you into a sink.)
If you go back twelve generations, over a period of 400 years, 4094 men and women came together and chose to bring new life into this world. That’s over four thousand individual lives and stories of agony and ecstasy, hardship and happiness, struggles and the satisfaction of living the kind of fulfilling life that only comes with having children.
Each of these souls, inhabiting a human body, played a vital role in this story of us. They lived. They had children. And YOU are their legacy.
Our ancestors cherished their humanity. But they didn’t just pay lip service to it. Their entire life was a living embodiment of how much they cherished the gift of life. And their well lived lives ensured that YOU would be the recipient of that gift.
Millennials are the first generation to not get married or have children at alarming rates. They are childless by choice. Some because of unapologetic self-centered narcissism. Some because they never wanna grow up. Some because they are infertile from vaccine injury and sterile from other drugs and surgeries. Some because they are asexual, gender confused or homosexual. Some because politicians, government officials and school teachers told them the world is overpopulated or the world is coming to an end and the best thing they can do is not bring more children into this god forsaken world.
Then, there are the childless by accident. Some because they prioritized a college education and advancement in their careers, money and status, over marriage and children. Some because they wanted to wait until they were “ready” or financially secure enough to start a family. Some because they wanted to have children, but they just put it off indefinitely until their biological clock ran out and, sadly it was just too late. Some because they didn’t find the right partner to commit to and procreate with during their prime fertility window.
This unplanned childlessness is the saddest of them all. Finding a loving partner who wants to have children with you has become one of the greatest challenges facing the X, Y and Z generations. For some Xers, they missed their chance. For childless millennials it’s nearly too late, barring an act of god. For Zoomers, their greatest challenge will be getting to adulthood in one piece with all their body parts in tact and their fertility in good working order.
Of course, there have always been people who choose not to have kids. I have an uncle who married a Japanese woman with no intention of having children with her. I know women in their late forties, fifties, even sixties who never had children or who aborted the ones who chose them to be their mother.
Here’s the thing: It’s not my children’s responsibility to take care of you in your old age. And that’s what you’re saying when you don’t have children of your own. You’re expecting someone else’s children to care about you when you don’t have anyone in your own life who cares about you. Or, you’re delusional if you think you won’t need help from the younger generations as you age. Or, you’re entitled if you think other people’s children are obligated to take care of you in your old age.
People are living longer and healthier lives. That’s awesome! And women still outlive men by at least 7 years. That’s sad for the happily married couples.
So, eventually we will have millions of old women with no children to take care of them. They will live long and lonely. They will have no children…and be happy?
The feminist dream will be fulfilled. The future IS female. Aging, childless females that is.
Old age is not something people think about in their twenties, thirties or even forties. But, everyone gets older. And if you don’t have children, who are you expecting to take care of you when you are elderly?
If you want children and can have children, make finding a good man or woman your single focus in life. Run, don’t walk. And start your family right away! Don’t put marriage and children off another day. Otherwise, you’ll regret it for the rest of your life.
The “right” time to have a child never comes. You have to choose the time, and sooner rather than later. Allow the souls who’ve already chosen you as their mother or father, to be born.
If finding a suitable partner is the primary problem, I can recommend the work of two women, Alison Armstrong and Emilia Nagy. For dating with the intention of marriage, listen to In Synch With the Opposite Sex by Alison Armstrong. (The workshop is available as an audiobook.) For women who are ready for sacred partnership with a masculine man, consider hiring Emilia Nagy for 1:1 private coaching or join her 10 week Soulmate Attraction Formula group program.
This article was inspired by Jordan Peterson’s interview with Stephen J. Shaw, and his documentary, Birthgap. You can watch them both for free on YouTube. Highly recommended if you’d like to learn more about what in the world is happening to the future of humanity because 1 in 3 women are childless.

Pearls of Wisdom is a personal blog of the wisdom writings of Dara Eden that fall outside the realms of feng shui, The 8 Elements and her other personal energy work. Established in 2014, the blog is an expression of her highest values: Sovereignty, Truth, Wisdom & Inner Peace. It’s devoted to increasing awareness, expanding consciousness, bringing knowledge, sharing innerstandings and offering wisdom to the sovereign souls inhabiting the Earth.
Dara Eden is a writer and wisdom keepHER. The name, Dara, means “pearl of wisdom”. Pearls are formed when a microscopic irritant, like a grain of sand, embeds itself within the soft tissue of a shelled mollusk. To protect itself, the oyster or clam covers the invading gritty particle with concentric layers of iridescent crystalline calcium to form treasures, pearls of great beauty and worth. Gifts of the sea, pearls are the oldest known gem and the only gem that does not need to be cut, shaped or polished. Pearls are associated with elegance and luxury and are a symbol of mystery and purity. Pearls represent priceless knowledge, the rare wisdom that begins as a tiny, random, common irritant.
