Water & YOU!

ICM Blog - Water & YOU!

2017 is a Water element year. It’s a good time to master hydration. Our bodies are mostly water and need water to live and thrive. Drinking water is vital to our health and well-being, to losing body fat and maintaining a healthy weight, getting well and staying well.

Although there is some water in the natural foods we eat, like fruit and vegetables, most of our daily water intake must come from drinking it. Other beverages like coffee, tea and juice cannot be substituted for water. Coconut water is the only other beverage that is as hydrating as water with the added benefit of having natural electrolytes. Sparkling water is another option as well.

Most people are chronically dehydrated. They don’t drink enough water. They don’t hydrate their bodies in the morning, especially before working out, eating or drinking coffee. They eat when they are really just thirsty.

Other people are over-hydrated. They are drinking way too much water during the day. They are drinking a certain number of glasses of water a day and constantly having to pee. They feel well-hydrated when their urine is clear. They are drinking plain water from plastic bottles. They are not providing their bodies with fluids containing essential minerals and vital electrolytes. They are drinking when they are not thirsty, diluting their bodily fluids and slowing down their metabolism.

Water therapy has been used by many people to heal their bodies. In Your Body’s Many Cries for Water, Dr. Batmanghelidj says the body’s biological thirst signals can be mistaken for signs and symptoms of other illnesses. He discovered that dehydration can be the root cause of over a dozen conditions including migraines/headaches, angina and hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis, colitis and constipation, diabetes and obesity.

About Drinking Water

Drinking water keeps the body hydrated enough to perform all of its many important functions.

Drinking water has a detoxifying effect and helps the body release inflammation.

Drinking cold water can slightly increase the metabolism.

Drinking water on an empty stomach purifies the colon, makes it easier for the body to absorb nutrients, increases the production of new blood and muscle cells, flushes fat, purges toxins, improves skin and balances the lymph system.

Drinking water with your meals dilutes your digestive enzymes and stomach acids. If you have to drink while you are eating, sip on hot water with lemon or an herbal tea (like ginger) at your body’s temperature.

Drinking water that has a higher pH (alkaline) may have some additional benefits.

Drinking water harvested from a local natural spring is ideal.

Drinking water that has been purified or filtered is essential to good health. Avoid tap water. Research reverse osmosis and distilled water.

Drinking water that has been revitalized, restructured or oxygenated has many health benefits including better absorption, digestion, waste elimination, energy, as well as, better taste.

Drinking water from glass bottles is best. Research drinking out of metal bottles made from stainless steel and copper.

Drinking too much water can decrease your metabolism and stress out your body. Listen to your body. Hydrate first thing in the morning and then sip on a few ounces at a time throughout the day.

Drinking water with a few crystals of Celtic salt is essential to making sure the water is getting into your cells.

Morning Water Therapy

Drink half of your body’s daily water intake upon rising in the morning. Drink at least 20 oz. of pure water with the juice of half a lemon or a few drops of lemon essential oil. Large mason jars work well for this.

Don’t eat or drink anything for one hour after drinking your water. If you are intermittent fasting, you can drink your fat coffee after an hour. If you eat breakfast, wait one hour before breaking your fast and eating your first meal of the day.

Drink water 30 minutes before other meals.

Drink water throughout the day between meals, sipping on 2-3 oz. at a time.

Water Solutions

Sole

Drinking a mineral rich pink Himalayan salt or Grey Atlantic Sea Salt electrolyte brine, as a supplement, is healing, energizing and helps the body maintain the proper water/salt balance and self-regulating homeostasis. The positive ions of the salt surround the negative ions of the water molecules in the salt water sole. This creates a totally new structure with an electrical charge that is more absorbable for the body. The electrical charge of this solution helps the body send electrical signals from one cell to another and assists the kidneys in maintaining fluid balances in the body. Drinking sole can improve digestion and the skin, aid in sleep, reduce stress hormones and has a calming effect on the nervous system.

How to Make Sole

Fill a 1 quart glass mason jar about 1/3 full of unrefined, mineral rich natural salt. Then, fill the jar with purified or filtered water and cover with a plastic lid. (Do not use metal.) Shake and allow to sit for 24 hours. If after 24 hours, all the salt crystals have dissolved, add a few more salt crystals to the water. The water has become full saturated with salt and is ready to use when the salt you add no longer dissolves. (There should always be undissolved salt crystals on the bottom of the jar.) Store, covered, on the counter or in a cupboard. The sole will last indefinitely because of salt’s natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Replenish with more water and salt as you use your sole.

Each morning, on an empty stomach add a small amount of sole with a wooden spoon to taste (1/2 to 1 tsp.) to a small (about 8 oz.) glass of filtered water. The amount will vary depending on your body’s needs and your sole concentration. It should taste like salt water but shouldn’t be too salty.

ACV

Drinking water with organic, raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar (with the Mother) is detoxifying and aids in weight loss. ACV has antibiotic and antioxidant properties. It can gently cleanse the colon, deliver friendly bacteria to the gut, restore proper digestion and improve acids in the stomach. It also helps improve the absorption of important minerals, especially from the leafy green vegetables.

Lemon Juice

Drinking water with lemon is cleansing and aids in proper elimination. It boosts your immune system and aids digestion, reduces inflammation and provides energy.

Water Energizers

Dr. Masaru Emoto’s work with water crystals revealed that human consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water. You can send messages to the water you drink with written or spoken words and intention.

Words

Write positive words on labels for your glass jars or bottles. Allow the water to receive the message and be transformed before drinking it.

Prayers & Affirmations

Bless your water before drinking with a prayer, other positive affirmations like “Well-being is mine” or single words like Health or Life.

Crystals

Drinking water that has been softened and charged with crystals overnight is energizing. The best crystals to place in your water are clear quartz, citrine and amethyst. You can make elixirs with water and most crystals, although there are a few crystals that should not be used in elixirs. Reiki

Place your hand over the rim of the jar of bottle of water and send light (Reiki) energy to the water to cleanse and charge your water. You don’t need to be Reiki attuned to send healing and light energy to your water, your food or anything or anyone else.

Our bodies are composed of water and minerals. They are crystalline organisms that can be cleared and charged, programmed and energized. They can transmit and receive information. Master your water and mineral daily intake. Master your personal energy. Master your life!
