The Dumb Ages
Dumb & Dumber
Growing up I was told that we were living in the Information Age. And I took full advantage of the access to the information people in the know were sharing. Twenty years ago, I began spending hours a day reading and researching what’s really going on here. Fulfilling my life purpose depended on it.
But people don’t really know anything. They don’t have true knowledge. They were just indoctrinated by the state and their parents’ religion. They consume a vast amount of information as soul sucking, time wasting ”content”, for entertainment purposes only. They read brief headlines, short captions and 280 character tweets. They watch 15 second videos. They have a head full of tidbits of information, anecdotes and factoids like they’re getting ready to go on a trivia game show like Jeopardy.
To think you have to have some level of intelligence and be able to concentrate for longer than a few seconds. IQ scores are at an all time low, dropping 2.5 to 4.3 points every decade since WWII. And social media is playing a huge role in creating attention deficits. In 2013, the attention span of people scrolling social media was 8 seconds. That’s less than that of a goldfish. Now, the average attention span of humans is only 3-5 seconds. Thanks CCP TikTok app.
Most people are dummies because they’ve lost their ability to think. Thus the aptly named series of books for Dummies. They need warning labels about their coffee being a hot beverage. They need labels on clothing, instructing people to remove the child from the shirt before putting it in the washing machine.
Tolerance will reach such a level that intelligent people will be banned from thinking so as not to offend the imbeciles.

To KNOW, you can’t just take information at face value or take people at their word. You have to fact check and verify information for yourself. You have to vet people before listening to their personal stories and whistleblower testimony. You have to do your own research. You have to think for yourself. You have to have your own experiences. And you have to trust your own inner knowing.
Without intelligence, the plethora of information becomes just more noise to distract, more nonsense to sort through. Without intuition, information is accepted as fact. Without inquisition, official narratives of misinformation and disinformation are disseminated and standardized as unquestionable truth.
The two most important things to know are: who you really are and the true history of the Universe. What people know is their favorite celebrity’s outfit of the day. Because that’s what’s on their feed as they mindlessly scroll.
Your soul’s story? There’s not an app for that. You’re going to have to devote some time and energy into seeking and finding that information yourself.
Lazy people, claiming to be too busy, want others to do the work for them. They don’t want to develop trust in their own inner knowing. They’d rather outsource knowledge to experts and authorities, academics and researchers, politicians and government officials, even whistleblowers and experiencers, tarot card and Akashic Records readers. They’re waiting for someone else to read them in.
Busy is an excuse people use for not making what they say they value, a priority.
What they refuse to acknowledge is, they already know the truth. They are their own gatekeepers. Looking outside of themselves for the answers to their questions is just a strategy to indefinitely delay opening their real eyes. If someone else knows and is hiding or withholding the information, they get to decide it’s not their fault they don’t know and they can shift blame. If they know the truth, they will be faced with the dilemma of having to do better now that they know better. And they don’t want to have to change.
Because playing dumb is so much easier than being wise. Wisdom requires inner knowing and lived experience. Most people would rather have someone else tell them what to think and believe. Because beliefs are the buffer that protects them from cognitive dissonance. Finding the truth yourself takes time and is too much work for people who’d rather waste their life at the 9 - 5 job and Netflix and chill.
The word dumb used to mean the unwillingness to speak or muteness, the inability to speak due to deafness. Now, we call stupid people, dumb. It goes without saying that the people who mask up, covering their mouths in public, perfectly depict what it is to be dumb, unwilling or unable to speak due to their vast stupidity.
People are dumb and only getting dumber. They’ve been systematically dumbed down by school and society, smart phones and social media. And they’re now completely at the mercy of the experts and authorities who feel entitled to tell the dumb masses what to think and believe, say and do.

Pearls of Wisdom is a personal blog of the wisdom writings of Dara Eden that fall outside the realms of feng shui, The 8 Elements and her other personal energy work. Established in 2014, the blog is an expression of her highest values: Sovereignty, Truth, Wisdom & Inner Peace. It’s devoted to increasing awareness, expanding consciousness, bringing knowledge, sharing innerstandings and offering wisdom to the sovereign souls inhabiting the Earth.
Dara Eden is a writer and wisdom keepHER. The name, Dara, means “pearl of wisdom”. Pearls are formed when a microscopic irritant, like a grain of sand, embeds itself within the soft tissue of a shelled mollusk. To protect itself, the oyster or clam covers the invading gritty particle with concentric layers of iridescent crystalline calcium to form treasures, pearls of great beauty and worth. Gifts of the sea, pearls are the oldest known gem and the only gem that does not need to be cut, shaped or polished. Pearls are associated with elegance and luxury and are a symbol of mystery and purity. Pearls represent priceless knowledge, the rare wisdom that begins as a tiny, random, common irritant.
