Rain Water
RITUAL: Manifestation | SOLAR TERM: Yu Shui | ELEMENT: Water
February 19 - March 4
The second solar term of the Chinese calendar is called Yu Shui. Yu Shui means “Rain Water”. It’s the time of year when frozen rivers begin to thaw and Spring rain begins to fall. The earth is being prepared to provide the moist, fertile ground for seeds to germinate and sprout, establish their roots and grow. As we shift from Winter’s Water energy to Spring’s Wood energy we move through the transitional Mother Earth energy.
Yu Shui is the perfect time to practice some manifestation methods using the element of water. You’ve set your intentions for the year ahead. You have clarity about what you’d like to manifest. So, harness the power of water to bring your dreams and desires into your life experience.
Like crystals that can be charged with energetic frequencies, water can be infused with intentions and imprinted with affirmations. Dr. Masaru Emoto famously conducted experiments that showed the effect our consciousness has on the molecular structure of water. The Japanese scientist took amazing pictures of beautiful ice crystals before and after prayers, spoken and written words words and even music.
The Earth and our bodies are made up of mostly water. Water listens to what we say and holds the energetic memory of the meaning and intentions of our internal dialogue, repeated affirmations and what we say out loud.
If you can, collect some water from a natural spring, clean river or stream or even rain water. If you don’t have a clean natural water source, use bottled spring water or the highest quality filtered water for the following manifestation methods.
Drinking Water
We drink water everyday. Being more intentional about the quality of the water we drink is important. We can also bring more consciousness to this daily ritual by charging our water with positive energy and affirmations.
There are several methods for charging your drinking water. I recommend charging the water you intend to drink the next day the night before. You could also charge a large pitcher of water each morning.
WORDS - Write words like love, peace, joy, health or happiness directly on a large glass mason jar of water. You could also write them on a sticky note to place on the jar or underneath the jar.
HANDS - Fill a glass jar with water. Place your hands over the top of the jar or hold it cupped between your hands. Close your eyes and visualize something you’d like to manifest. Send the energy of your intention into your drinking water through the palms of your hands.
CRYSTALS - Clear and charge some crystals like clear quartz or rose quartz. Hold them in your hands and send the energy of your intention into the crystals. Then, place the crystals in your glass jar or water bottle.
SYMBOLS - I like to use cards from my Healing Code card deck to charge my water with specific healing frequencies. You can place a card under your glass jar or lean it up against the side of your water bottle.
IMAGES - Another idea is to make coasters from the the pictures of Emoto’s water crystals to place your water glass on.
Quantum Water
The Two Cups method is a popular Law of Attraction manifestation technique. It’s also known as “quantum jumping” to your desired result. This simple manifestation ritual helps you quantum leap from your current reality to an alternate reality in which you have what you intend and desire.
You’ll need two water glasses, pure drinking water, two sticky notes and a pen. You’ll also need to decide what it is you’d like to manifest - $5,000, a new car, perfect health, a romantic partner, etc.
For example: If you’d like to manifest money, write down on the first sticky note the amount of money currently in your bank account. On the second sticky note write down the amount of money you’d like to have in your bank account. Or, if you’d like to be debt free, write down the current credit card balance on one sticky note and the affirmation, “I have a zero balance on my (name) credit card.”
Step 1 - Fill both glasses halfway up with water to drink.
Step 2 - Write you current reality on one sticky note and your desired manifestation on another sticky note. Place the notes on the glasses.
Step 3 - Hold the two glasses, one in each hand, and pour the water from the glass with your current reality into the glass with your desired intention.
Step 4 - Visualize your desired result.
Step 5 - Then, drink the water.
Bath Water
If you like to take baths, start being more intentional with this ritual. As you prepare your bath, visualize what you’d like to manifest. Then, when you get into the bath, visualize that your intentions are being transferred into the water surrounding you. As you bathe, silently or audibly repeat mantras or positive affirmations about your desired outcome.
Rain Water
Collect rain water to use in your garden or to water your house plants. Write some words, like health or vitality, on your water collecting or storage containers.
River Water
If you have a natural body of water near you, go to the stream or river, lake or ocean. Express your appreciation to the water for its life giving energy. Then, offer the water a blessing. Place your hands in the water and visualize your intention and desire. This is especially powerful if the water is flowing as it will take your intentions out into the world so they can be manifested.
